Available Rabbits
Winston and Olive
Olive approx 7/8 years and Winston approx 3/4 years
I rescued Olive and Winston from awful conditions last year. Olive had back to back litters, the rabbits were drinking out of muddy puddles and didn’t have access to appropriate food. Olive was also on the losing side of attacks from other rabbits and her ears are very torn up but all healed.
They were adopted by sadly returned. Olive had started to display some “aggressive” behaviours. Due to this, it was important to rule out any medical issues. Olive has had a full blood profile, all her organs are fine. She also had a specific blood profile to check her hormone levels, these were zero. She then had an ultrasound to check for any abnormalities to her adrenal glands as it was a possibility she had adrenal disease. Again, everything was normal.
Since returning, Olive hasn’t bitten. Granted, she does not like the dustpan and will growl but I have not experienced any aggression towards myself or Winston. However, due to the reasons associated with why they were returned, a rabbit savvy home is necessary.
Winston and Olive have the sweetest bond and even though they were part of a large group of rabbits, they always stuck together. They are inseparable.
